Watch the Sucker Punch-based animated short film The Trenches

This animated short, The Trenches, takes place in the fantasy world of Zack Snyder’s upcoming film Sucker Punch, which hits theaters on March 25, 2011.

Sucker Punch stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, Oscar Isaac, Jon Hamm, Scott Glenn, Richard Cetrone, Gerard Plunkett, Malcolm Scott, Ron Selmour, Alan C. Peterson and Revard Dufresne. The film centers on a young girl who’s institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.
