Tim Burton to be featured in major gallery exhibit at MOMA

Director Tim Burton will be the subject of a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, starting November 22, 2009 and running through April 26, 2010, according to Variety. The exhibit is sponsored by the Sci Fi Channel and was organized by MoMA’s assistant curator, Ron Magliozzi, along with the department of film’s curatorial assistant, Jenny He, and chief curator of film Rajendra Roy.

The show will be comprised of more than 700 works of art, including paintings, drawings, storyboards, maquettes, puppets and other work created or designed by Burton. The museum will also screen a complete retrospective of the director’s 14 films over the course of the exhibition.
