CineVegas Film Festival 2009

The CineVegas Film Festival is a platform for artists and art lovers who are drawn to the edge. Held amidst the unique, unpredictable and intoxicating environment that is Las Vegas, the CineVegas Film Festival pushes the boundaries of cinema.

The first CineVegas was held in 1998 at Bally’s Hotel; in 2002, the Festival moved permanently to the Palms Casino Resort and hired a new director of programming, Trevor Groth, a 14-year senior programming veteran of the iconic Sundance Film Festival. In 2003, Dennis Hopper received the Festival’s prestigious Marquee Award and was so enamored with the Festival that he became, and still serves as, the chair of its creative advisory board.
