Delray Beach Film Festival 2009

The DBFF is a truly independent film festival – small enough to allow for an intimate environment in which to mix and mingle, yet big enough to attract large local audiences – and one which has stayed close to its roots and mission of making available original and independent films not ordinarily seen in mainstream movie theaters.

Most DBFF events are held in historic downtown Delray Beach, first settled in 1884. Pretty much everything is within walking distance of the famous Colony Hotel (the 1926-era romantic “old Florida” hotel which serves as Festival headquarters), including the Cornell Museum of Art and History. All DBFF films are screened right in town on Atlantic Avenue, at one of the three Festival screening sites: Old School Square, the Crest Theatre, and the Delray Beach Public Library, a new venue for 2009.
