Seven Swords sadly won’t be stateside for some time, but I wanted to share some goodness from the film and its filmmakers.
The martial arts epic sold very well at the recent American Film Market, with distribution rights of 13 regions being sold, including France, Italy, Thailand, East Europe, Indonesia, the UK and Germany. Production of Seven Swords is currently taking place in China’s Xinjiang Region.
Two film sets the size of four football fields, were built outside the capital of Xinjiang.
The film centers on seven sword masters that gather together to save a Chinese fortress from the brutal forces of the newly established Qing regime during the 1600’s.
I also read online that Seven Swords will screen at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. We’ll see if it’s ready by that time.
We have photos, a full synopsis of the film and more ON THE PREVIEW PAGE »
