James Bond 22 gets a director

According to Baseline Studios, Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have signed Marc Forster to helm the 22nd installment of the film franchise, tentatively called Bond 22. Crash writer Paul Haggis is going to draft a new version of the screenplay, which was penned by Neil Purvis and Robert Wade. Daniel Craig returns to the role of 007 role in the film that Sony and MGM plan to release in November of 2008. Joining Craig are Giancarlo Giannini, who returns as double-agent Rene Mathis, Judi Dench as M, Abbie Cornish, and possibly Carice van Houten and Goran Visnjic.

Production is scheduled to begin at Pinewood Studios in London this coming December.
