H.I.V.E. For Criminal Education Goes to Big Screen
Paramount has nabbed the rights to the young-adult novel H.I.V.E. by Mark Walden, for a film that will be produced by Lynda Obst, Variety reported. The title stands for the Higher Institute of Villainous Education, which is a school where kids with extremely high criminal tendencies are educated to become super-villains. Lida Obst is also producing the film Can You Keep a Secret?, which Kate Hudson may star in.
Absolute Angels Picked up by Time Warner
Warner Brothers has picked up the spec teenage horror-comedy script Absolute Angels, written by Genevieve Jolliffe and Andrew Zinnes, for Jolliffe to helm in her U.S. directorial debut, Variety reported.
