Jerry Bruckheimer to adapt World War Robot for IDW
Jerry Bruckheimer has nabbed feature film rights to the IDW graphic novel World War Robot, according to Variety.
Director Jon Favreau looking to bring Iron Man 2 to IMAX and Iron Man 3 or Avengers to 3-D
On the heels of the first 3D-imbued Comic-Con panels this year, MYV Movies reports that director Jon Favreau confirmed that there’s a good chance that Iron Man 2 will be released on IMAX screens, and that he wants to shoot either Iron Man 3 or the 2012 Avengers movie in 3-D.
Steven Spielberg eyeing hard-boiled Matt Helm spy movie?
The speculation in Variety is that Steven Spielberg could be seriously considering taking the director’s chair for a Matt Helm movie that DreamWorks developed several years before leaving it behind at Paramount as part of the split between the two companies.
Ridley Scott will direct the Alien prequel film
Variety confirmed a story by Collider.com, that Ridley Scott’s production company is indeed developing a prequel to his classic sci-fi horror film Alien. However according to the trade, Scott himself will direct, not his protege, Carl Rinsch, and Jon Spaihts, who got the job after pitching the studio and Scott Free, will write the screenplay.
