OnyxCon is a comic convention celebrating the very best of the impact, contributions, and presence of the African Diaspora in popular arts, including comics, video games, science fiction, fantasy, horror children’s books, animation and more.
OnyxCon will promote, showcase, educate, and entertain all fans of the Sequential Arts and related media by showcasing creators of comics, books, film, and other media associated, with a focus on African Diaspora cultural concepts, interest, and general markets. This event is for everyone, and is a progressive and diverse showcase and networking opportunity for professionals. Because comic books/comic strips have long stood as the foundation Art form of this type of convention, comics will be a major feature. OnyxCon however is not limited to comics. The event will also showcase literary novels, video games, collectable toys and models, film, and all other media that our committee feel fit the interests of our expected audience.
