The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival presents a vast array of American indies and studio films along with international films, special tributes, and seminars to enthusiastic South Florida audiences. The event was recently named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s Top Destination Fests in the U.S. The festival was launched in 1986, with the goal of bringing a truly independent film festival to South Florida, and to promote the creation and appreciation of cinematic art.
