45th annual Chicago International Film Festival

The 45th Chicago International Film Festival is one of North America’s longest-running competitive film festivals. Set against the backdrop of Chicago’s beautiful skyline, this Academy-qualifying Festival presents 160 premieres representing 47 countries, and draws in more than 55,000 attendees each year. The fest is organized to encourage better understanding between cultures and make a positive contribution to the art of film. The Festival’s competitive sections include the Feature Film Competition, DOCUFEST, New Directors Competition, and the Short Film Competition; films in competition vie for the prestigious Gold Hugo award, awarded by a jury of film professionals including directors, actors, and critics.
