The Hamptons International Film Festival was established to celebrate independent film – long, short, fiction, and documentary – and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to audiences.
The Festival’s juries are comprised of industry influencers who present a total of $45,000 USD in cash prizes and over $185,000 worth of goods and services to winning filmmakers. Through a special collaboration with NYWIFT and with the support of RoC, the Festival will award a $5,000 Gold Standard in Filmmaking Award to a Female Feature Director. Other special awards such as the Alfred P. Sloan Prize in Science & Technology ($25,000) and the Student Film Awards are presented, honoring achievements in filmmaking across genres and disciplines.
