Organized by the Palm Springs International Film Society, the Palm Springs International ShortFest provides a showcase and market for the best short-form cinema and its creators in the world, welcoming both student and non-student filmmakers.
The Festival is Academy Award-qualifying and has seen 64 ShortFest films go on to garner nominations, including 2008 Oscar-winners FREEHELD (Best Documentary Short), THE MOZART OF PICKPOCKETS (Best Live Action Short), and nominees TANGHI ARGENTINI, THE TONTO WOMAN, SALIM BABA and MADAME TUTLI-PUTLI.
