Isabella Rossellini visits the IFC Center next Wednesday, April 1st at 7 pm, to present the theatrical premiere of the second season of her noted Green Porno short-film series, along with a special screening of The Flowers of St. Francis, directed by her father, the Italian master Roberto Rossellini, for a special Movie Night program.

Green Porno 2 follows the first season of the critically acclaimed films examining the sex lives of insects. This time, she turns the focus on a variety of aquatic creatures in six films that range from Barnacles, to Starfish, to Whales, with Rossellini portraying the titular character. The IFC will present the films from Green Porno 2 as part of Short Attention Span Cinema starting in June, the same time that they air on the Sundance Channel.

“The Flowers of St. Francis (1950) is a film about the patron saint of the animals,” the actress noted. “It was written by a young Federico Fellini and directed by my Dad, who was his mentor. It’s the perfect blend of serious neo-realist themes and Fellini-esque humor that borders on the absurd. It’s one of my Dad’s favorite films.”

The IFC Center is located at 323 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, NY 10014. The phone number is (212) 924-7771.
