The 20th annual American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Awards for outstanding achievement in 2005 was held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Winners included Memoirs of a Geisha for feature films, HBO’s Warm Springs for TV movies, and the Who Shot Sherlock CSIepisode for regular television series. Sydney Pollack received the ASC Board of Governors award, and special awards were given for the 1976 version ofKing Kong, as well as Star Wars and An Early Frost.
