Wizard World

Wizard World, formally known as Wizard Entertainment and Wizard Press, is an organizer of popular culture fan conventions across North America. Wizard began as a company in 1991 as the publisher of the monthly Wizard Magazine, later evolving into a multi-title publishing company with branded products and related convention operations. Gareb Shamus founded Wizard magazine in January 1991 shortly after he graduated from college, originally basing the company in Congers, New York.

By 2011, Wizard World discontinued its magazine publishing division to focus exclusively on managing conventions.
