The Paley Center for Media – New York

The original Museum of Broadcasting was founded in 1975 by William S. Paley and opened in Manhattan on November 9, 1976. The institution explores the cultural, creative, and social significance of television, radio, and emerging platforms for the professional community and media-interested public. Founded in 1975 by William S. Paley, the organization was renamed The Paley Center for Media on June 5, 2007 in order to encompass emerging broadcasting technologies such as the Internet, mobile video and podcasting, as well as to expand its role as a neutral setting where media professionals can engage in discussion and debate about the evolving media landscape.

By bus, take the Southbound on Fifth Avenue, Broadway, and Seventh Avenue; northbound on Madison Avenue and Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue). By subway, take the E or M to Fifth Avenue and 53 Street; N or R to 49 Street and Seventh Avenue; 1 to 50 Street and Broadway; B, D, F, or M to 47-50 Street/Rockefeller Center.
