Dragon Con

Dragon Con is a multi-genre convention that was founded in 1987. The event takes place once each year in Atlanta, Georgia and primarily centers on cult films & television, science fiction, fantasy, cosplay and comics. The primary location for Dragon Con is the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, but because of the size and scale of the event, other hotels and event spaces also host activities during the event. Some of those locations include the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Atlanta Hilton and Towers, Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, Westin Peachtree Plaza and AmericasMart.

Dragon Con, which has some of the most dedicated cosplayers and costumed fans of any major con, also has a yearly parade that snakes through downtown Atlanta, featuring costumed fans, sponsored floats and massive homemade contraptions that celebrate pop culture, cult cinema and television. The first year of the Dragon Con parade was 2001.
