Variety reports that the upcoming sci-fi adventure film Jumper will be directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity). Jumper is planned as a trilogy, and will be produced by Lucas Foster and Simon Kinberg, who produced Regency’s summer 2005 hit, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, also directed Liman. Jim Uhls (who wrote Fight Club) is rewriting the screenplay, originally penned by David Goyer (Batman Begins).
