DWIFF celebrates the art of storytelling by inspiring artists to develop a universal, visual and emotional language that reaches all cultures of the diverse, global community and highlights the talent, technology and resources Michigan has to offer the world’s filmmakers.
Filmmakers from around the world are invited to share their visions at DWIFF. The Festival seeks films and music videos in all genres which demonstrate technical and visual achievements in storytelling, and has a special program for children’s films. DWIFF celebrates and promotes Michigan’s position as a leader in entertainment production; Films produced in Michigan, especially those supported by the State’s production incentives, receive special consideration as they help promote local talent and resources.
