The Sacramento Film and Music Festival’s mission is celebrate and showcase the best in filmmaking from around the world and to be the leading sponsor and facilitator of the art of film in California’s Capital region.
In addition to innovative programs for local filmmakers, the Festival dedicates exclusive programming time to national and international student filmmakers through its Sony Creative Software Student Days program. Last year’s student documentary winner, Jared Martin sums it up nicely: “My film has played at nine film festivals all over the country the one I enjoyed the most was the Sacramento Film & Music Festival. In addition to a high quality selection of films, the SF&MF was the most organized and well-run.
