Organized in 2001 by Nevada City’s Magic Theatre, the NCFF brings top independent cinema to the foothills of Northern California, creating a forum for exchange and interaction between local filmmakers and the national and international independent film community.
The filmmaker experience is a high priority at NCFF, and the Festival provides attending filmmakers accommodations, meals, and travel discounts to help encourage attendance. Select films chosen from the NCFF program will be honored with audience favorite and jury awards.
