Chicago International Children’s Film Festival 2009

The mission of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival is to introduce children and families to a world of compelling films that engage their imagination, spark their creativity, respect their intelligence, and connect them to global culture.

Adult juries, children’s juries, and special juries award more than 30 prizes. The CICFF Poetry Foundation Prize goes to the film that truly captures and expresses the spirit of poetry in film for young audiences, and the winning film earns a $10,000 USD cash prize. CICFF also presents the Kenneth F. and Harle G. Montgomery Emerging Director Prize ($2500), the Rights of the Child Prize, a Peace Prize, a $2500 prize for the top Child Produced film, and a Best of Fest award.
