I am half Vulcanian, and as a Vulcanian i speak from pure logic. If I let go of a hammer on a planet that has positive gravity, I need not see it fall to know that it has in fact, fallen.

Context:
Season 1; Episode 20; originally aired February 2, 1967: Leonard Nimoy (as Mr. Spock) says during testimony at a Court Martial trial against William Shatner (as Capt. James T. Kirk), who is accused of the murder of one of his crew during an ion storm. He was implying that Captain Kirk was not capable of risking the lives of his crew, whether or not he was fully aware of Kirk's actions or motivations.
