Outfest aims to “protect our past, showcase our present and nurture our future by fostering artistic expression of gender, sexuality and LGBTQ culture and its transformative social impact on the world.”
Outfest presents an extensive awards program, bestowing 17 honors for excellence, including Jury Prizes for US, International, Documentary, and Short Films; The HBO Outstanding First Dramatic Feature Award; and Audience Awards, for which all Los Angeles premieres are eligible.
