Tromadance Film Festival needs your help

Tromadance Film Festival has set up a Kickstarter page to help raise money for it’s 13th year. Tromadance needs your help in supporting what is described as the only truly independent film festival – and one that is completely FREE to the general public. All TromanDance screenings are free and celebrities and fans are treated equally, with no VIP policy. TromaDance screens films from around the globe. The 13th edition will be held in historic Asbury Park, New Jersey on May 4th and 5th, 2012 at Asbury Lanes.

Past editions of TromaDance have presented the North American premiere of The Human Centipede, as well as The Taint, and Kidnapped, among others. The festival also hosts discussion panels with independent film makers that share their wisdom and secrets to success with the audience. Past guests include Oscar Nominated Actress Karen Black, Jenna Fischer, Ghost Rider producer Steven Paul, Adam Rifkin, House of the Devil producer Larry Fessenden, IFTA CEO Jean Pruitt, and Oscar Nominated animator Bill Plympton.

Those individuals who choose to donate on Kickstarter are entitled to exclusive gifts which include everything from signed and collectible posters, DVDs, or even a round of bowling with TromaDance founder, Lloyd Kaufman.

Founded in 1999 by Troma Entertainment and Toxic Avenger creator Lloyd Kaufman, and inspired by South Park co-creator Trey Parker, whose first film Cannibal:The Musical, was a Troma release. TromaDance enjoyed ten successful years in Park City, Utah. In 2010,TromaDance was brought back home to New Jersey, home of Tromaville and The Toxic Avenger.
