The City National Civic in San Jose, California is managed and operated by San Jose Theaters, a division of Team San Jose. A designated City Landmark, the venue regularly hosts shows from Nederlander Concerts and other organizations, as of 2016.
The Who kicked off their first headlining U.S. tour at City National Civic in 1968. This historic venue has also hosted The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, among others. A multi-million dollar renovation led to a grand re-opening in October of 2012, leading to the venue’s name officially changing to City National Civic in December of 2013.
The City National Civic has a maximum theater-style seating capacity of 3,036. The venue features state-of-the-art sound and HD video systems. The stage size is 112 feet x 35 feet.
