Cinemark Theaters Have Largest Box Office Month in Company History (2023)

The solid box office performance of Cinemark Theaters’ July 2023 releases, including Barbie, Oppenheimer, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Sound of Freedom, among others, helped the month break records for the theater chain. The July 2023 domestic box office performance was the company’s highest-grossing month in company history.

Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Cinemark is one of the largest movie theater companies in the world. Cinemark’s circuit, comprised of various brands that include Century, Tinseltown and Rave, operates 516 theaters, including 317 in the U.S., along with 199 South and Central America, with 5,833 screens in 42 states domestically and 14 countries throughout South and Central America.
