Anthology Film Archives presents screening series dedicated to Brazilian female filmmakers

Anthology Film Archives presents as part of the New Filmmakers Series Latino a special program dedicated to Brazilian female filmmakers and subjects surrounding the feminine universe. The selection includes animation, fiction, documentaries and experimental video.

Music will be provided by DJ Duo Evy & Dimitri – Old School Samba, MPB, Brazilian Rock. There will also be a performance from live musical guest Eliano Braz and Rabeca Do Forro. Eliano Braz, a violinist and violist, is a native of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. His group, Rabeca Do Forro plays popular Brazilian music from the Northeast. It fuses different styles of music from Brazil and the world, and incorporate improvisation into their work. The evening will also include a special performance by Hunger Follies – Scratch #1, as well as Cristiane Bouger.

Everyone attending the event is also invited to follow us to Nublu to party Brazilian style.
