Amazon Studios now accepting short film concepts from indie filmmakers for commercial development slate

amazon-studios-short-film-development-imagesAmazon Studios has figured out that short films are an incredible way for filmmakers to share a vision and tell a story. To that end the studio’s open door for creators is widening to include short concept videos for development options. Beginning today, concept videos presenting compelling ideas for a commercial, theatrical feature film can be submitted and evaluated for a development option by Amazon Studios.

Hollywood’s creative community and filmmakers worldwide are invited to submit 2-15 minute videos to the Amazon Studios website and the process works the same way as with script submissions: Creators can submit publicly or privately; there is a 45-day option and evaluation period; creators of projects added to the development slate will receive a $10,000 payment.
