Said by Sophia, a humanoid robot created by Hanson robotics. The device was the main attraction at a UN-hosted conference in Geneva in June 2017, that discussed how artificial intelligence can be used to benefit humanity. The event came as concerns grow over rapid advances in such technologies spinning out of human control and becoming detrimental to society. Sophia also insisted "the pros outweigh the cons" when it comes to artificial intelligence.

Apple Computer sent out a media invitation for the company's upcoming product launch event on September 9, 2015. On the invite, Apple wrote "Hey Siri, give us a hint," regarding what products and technologies will be revealed at the event.

Apple programmed these responses to the phrase "Siri give me a hint".

In past years, Apple has held its media events at its corporate headquarters in Cupertino or at Moscone West in San Francisco. In 2015 the event was held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

If a company can control your access to the internet, if they can control which websites they go to, then they have tremendous control over your life. . .If a Government can block you going to, for example, the opposition’s political pages, then they can give you a blinkered view of reality to keep themselves in power.

It's not that I'm a Luddite and don't like technology; I've just never been interested. When I moved to L.A. in 1997, nobody really had cell phones, and I just never went down that path. And I'm in a slightly unique position because when I'm working - and I've been working pretty much continuously for the last 10 years - I'm never more than five feet from somebody who has a phone.

A lot of the things people amuse themselves with really are just toys for grown-ups, and it eats your time and pulls your concentration.

And it is an example of the kind of divisions that threaten the modern world. Is our diversity going to be a source of division or strength? Will we look at each other as adversaries or opportunities? In this too, the virtual world offers us an opportunity to come together and have an honest conversation.
