Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been announced as hosts for this year’s BET Awards 2005. Special honoress include Denzel and Pauletta Washington, who will receive Humanitarian Awards and Gladys Knight, who is to be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The show is the number top-rated salute to music, entertainment and sports.
The BET Awards will be televised live From Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre, on Hollywood Blvd, on BET Television on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, and 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
At the event, BET will honor superlative achievement in music, entertainment and sports with a star-studded telecast of BET AWARDS ’05. The most-watched awards show among African-American viewers, the BET AWARDS will be helmed this year by Hollywood power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, making their BET AWARDS hosting debut family-style! The show format includes star-studded red carpet arrivals, exciting on-stage performances and stirring tributes by the hottest names in entertainment at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre. BET AWARDS ’05 nominations will be announced on Monday, May 16. We will post the nominations, as soon as they become available.
