I watched a screening of Sex Drive a few nights ago and it was pretty scary how much I could relate to the central character Ian (played by Josh Zuckerman), who’s on a mission to meet the internet eye candy of his dreams, Ms. Tasty (Katrina Bowden). No matter where you’re from, how you grew up, or who your childhood friends were, everyone can relate to feeling awkward about having sex for the first time. And most of us had cool friends who we would’ve given our left arms to be for just one day.

Sex Drive will be theaters on October 10, 2008, and features a cast of relative newcomers, aside from hysterical turns by Michael Cudlitz (a regular face on TV hits including Lost, The Dead Zone, CSI: Miami and Prison Break), James Marsden (27 Dresses, X-Men film trilogy), and Seth Green as Ezekial, the hippest Amish dude in America. Clark Duke and Amanda Crew round out the cast.

Film Fetish Trivia: Actor Michael Cudlitz will be appearing in the upcoming sci-fi thriller The Surrogates, which is being directed by Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Breakdown, U-571), and stars Bruce Willis, Rosamund Pike and Ving Rhames. The Surrogates is due in theaters in November of 2009.
