Donkey Punch screened during the Midnight Section of Sundance, and will be released in the U.K. on July 18, 2008. The film should get some sort of limited distribution here in the U.S. as well. Only Sarah (Shauna Macdonald) survived in The Descent, and I understand the new film will be heavy on flashbacks, to flesh out the storyline. In the U.K. version of the film however, Sarah was left in the claws of the Crawlers at the conclusion of the film. That ending was removed in the U.S. release.
