Blood and Bone was the 2009 directorial debut of Ben Ramsey, an African-American screenwriter and martial artist, and stars Michael Jai White, karate champion and movie star. The all-star martial arts ensemble features White as Isaiah Bone, a drifter and skilled fighter who’s just out of prison, and is introduced to the Los Angeles underground fight world, where he ends up on a collision course with a mob boss and underworld kingpin.

Blood and Bone was written by Michael Andrews, and also stars Julian Sands, Eamonn Walker, Dante Basco, Nona Gaye, Michelle Belegrin, Bob Sapp, Dick Anthony Williams, Francis Capra, Ron Yuan, Kevin ‘Kimbo Slice’ Ferguson, Gina Carano, Maurice Smith, Ernest Miller, Kevin Phillips, William Washington, Andre L. Walker, Erik Betts, Justice Smith, Jontille Gerard, Louie Torrellas, Michelle Lee and Kumiko Nagano. Michael Jai White and Ben Ramsey are expected to attend the screening and there may be a Q&A session.

The Blood and Bone screening will take place tomorrow, June 12th, from 3:00 – 5:30pm, at the Museum of the Moving Image, located at 36-01 35th Avenue in Queens, New York. For the truly adventurous, you could head into the city for the Puerto Rican Day Parade, then drive into Queens for the screening. That’s a NICE way to spend a Sunday in the summer!
