Timed to release day-and-date with the holiday blockbuster movie Public Enemies starring Golden Globe winner Johnny Depp (Sweeney Todd) and Christian Bale (The Dark Knight), Crime Wave: 18 Months of Mayhem is an action-packed feature-length documentary from History revealing the real men behind some of America’s most notorious criminals: John Dillinger, Machine Gun Kelly, Babyface Nelson and Bonnie and Clyde.
Fast-paced and gripping, Crime Wave has the energy and drama of the period it portrays. Stunning HD location photography, numerous archives, and evocative recreations capture the hectic pace of the story of the 1930’s crime wave and resulting FBI “war on crime” that gripped the country for 18 months, and the energetic storytelling and visuals of Crime Wave transport viewers to this unique time in American history.
