Everyone’s been talking about the hard times MGM now faces, so I was excited to find out about something positive. And since I’ve been discussing Video-On-Demand more (VOD), I thought it would be a good idea to share this info.

In celebration of its 85 years of filmmaking, MGM and Warner Brothers are teaming up to offer some of the greatest movies of all time, including The Wizard of Oz, North By Northwest, Hannibal and Legally Blonde, just to name a few. And to celebrate its 70th anniversary, Gone with the Wind is now available in digital HD.

I created my own VOD widget, featuring a selection of some of the studios’ greatest hits now available.

Since its first roar in 1924, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM) has become one of the world’s most renowned Hollywood studios, earning 205 Academy Awards, including 15 Best Pictures.

Something about the “Frankly, my dear I don’t give a damn quote” seems off in this mashup. Also, a flaw in 2001: A Space Odyssey is cut into this too, DOH! Anyways, gotta love MGM!
