If there were any doubts whether Avatar will be epic, after watching this international trailer for James Cameron’s new sci-fi war thriller, these doubts are now decimated as far as I’m concerned. The new trailer reveals new story elements centering on how Sam Worthington’s character Jake Sully actually gets to the planet of Pandora, why there is such tension between the planet’s indigenous Na’vi and humans and more.

According to Trailer Addict, where this video originates, the international trailer for Avatar is nearly identical to the U.S. feature film trailer, which is due to be released shortly.

Avatar will be released to theaters and IMAX on December 18th, and stars Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, CCH Pounder, Stephen Lang, Joel Moore, Dileep Rao, Wes Studi, Laz Alonso, Peter Mensah, Matt Gerald, James Pitt and Amy Clover.
