My top 5 ghost stories put to film are House (Steve Miner); Poltergeist (Tobe Hooper); the original 1979 Amityville Horror (Stuart Rosenberg); Hausu (Nobuhiko Obayashi – a Japanese classic from 77, so worth hunting down); and of course A Christmas Carol (Brian Desmond Hurst)
