The most action packed World War II film ever made in my opinion is “The Bridge on the River Kwai”. The release date was 10/02/1957 and the director was David Lean.

My husband could watch this type of film all day long – as a matter of fact, he does!! His favorite was \"Tora, Tora, Tora\" – Mine is \"Bridge on the River Kwai\" – The music is what sets that one apart for me – 1957 (The year I graduated High School)

The Black Book, directed by Paul Verhoeven and released in 2006!
July 17th, 2009 at 9:15 am
My choice would be The Longest Day. Not only was the subject, D-Day probably the most important event in the war and the action scenes were so powerful but the cast, John Wayne, Sean Connery, Richard Burton, Henry Fonda, and Peter Lawford, is enough to blow the mind of even the most experienced movie affectionado in any genre.
