The Art of the Nasty book-launch and all-day film festival has been organized to mark the passing of 25 years since the introduction of the Video Recordings Act and the end of the pre-certification era for home video in the UK.

Five horror and exploitation films from the pre-cert era, all specially chosen for their rarity, and all screened from original release film prints in 35mm or 16mm, along with a special bonus film presentation courtesy of brand new DVD company Pink Eiga. The full line-up: Take An Easy Ride and The Brute (double-bill), Death Weekend, Satan’s Slave (uncut export version), Equinox and S&M Hunter. Enjoy a shock-filled day out with your friends in London’s most hospitable venue, with its bar and restaurant terrace overlooking the River Thames.

Location: Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, London
Dates: Saturday, July 11, 2009, from 11am – 11pm (first film begins at 12.30pm)
