Anna Kendrick and Tania Raymonde in Elsewhere

Anna Kendrick and Tania Raymonde in Elsewhere

On June 2nd, E1 Entertainment will release the teen thriller Elsewhere for the first time on DVD and Blu-ray. Starring Twilight’s Anna Kendrick and Tania Raymonde of TV’s Lost, Elsewhere is being described as a thriller in the vein of When A Stranger Calls and Disturbia – I’m in. In fact, I’ve just received my review copy of the Blu-ray edition, so look for my review of the disc sometime next week. In the meantime, FilmFetish is also getting two of the DVD editions of Elsewhere for readers to enjoy.

In order to be entered in the random drawing for your free copy of the Elsewhere DVD, here’s what you need to do:

  1. As always, you need to be a member of, or sign-up for our eNews, if you’re not already. CLICK HERE to do that. It’s totally free.
  2. Reply to this post, and tell me the name of the best teen horror film you ever saw.

I’ll be running this contest through the film’s release date of June 2, 2009. Good luck.

More About Elsewhere
In the vein of When a Stranger Calls and Disturbia, the suspense unfolds in Elsewhere, a new teen thriller featuring rising star Anna Kendrick (Twilight, Rocket Science). Kendrick has Hollywood buzzing with her latest role opposite George Clooney and Jason Bateman in the upcoming film Up in the Air. In Elsewhere, Kendrick plays the responsible, straight-laced half of an unlikely pair of best friends, who finds herself wrapped up in a dark mystery in which the whole town seems to be participating. On June 2nd, E1 Entertainment presents Elsewhere to audiences for the first time on DVD and Blu-ray. Both formats include over two hours of bonus features, including an audio commentary with director Nathan Hope and producer Vincent Palomino, behind-the scenes footage and cast interviews, deleted scenes and more.

Sarah (Kendrick) and Jillian (Raymonde) have been best friends for so long they can’t remember when their friendship started. Growing up in a small town in Indiana the two girls couldn’t be more different: Sarah is a star pupil and athlete, while Jillian is star mischief-maker. Although both girls long to be break free of the small-town life, Sarah is shocked to discover that Jillian is using the internet to meet men with the sole purpose of finding someone who will take her someplace more exciting. Soon thereafter, she disappears leaving Sarah with only a journal and a cryptic video message sent from her cell-phone. Enlisting the aid of Jasper (Gries), the resident computer genius who secretly adores her, Sarah plunges head-long into the search for Jillian. The trail leads the two into the heart of the town’s dark secrets where they discover why nobody wants Jillian found.
