According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Arrested Development film is inching closer to becoming a reality. Apparently, Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard have closed deals for the long-in-development project. The possible adaptation of the short-lived Fox show has been a hot topic among fans for the last year. Speculation was initially fueled by cast members, including Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Jeffrey Tambor, who have been quoted in interviews that a feature is in development.

Hurwitz created and the Emmy-winning series, and will pen a script for the film, and direct, with Ron Howard’s assistance.
