Tropo De Elite follows two childhood friends that enlist in Rio de Janeiro’s Military Police Department, who later make up their minds to try out for a Special Operations Squad. The mission of this special unit is to take down the drug-lords that plague the city. Both men struggle to survive, facing the daily challenges of dealing with pressure at home and fighting a war on the streets.
Tropo De Elite has been burning up the festival circuit, and again, reveals the gritty realities of Rio De Janeiro’s favelas.
